Why is a show bridle needed?
A show bridle is customised to give your horse the right conditions for showing or judging. Most commonly, the bridle is made of black or brown leather, but some breeds also show in white bridles, such as Shetland. The buckles are usually made of brass and match the bit rings on the show bit. Stallions are shown in a stallion bit with horseshoes as bit rings, other horses are shown in black rubber bits.
The show bridle also needs a leather lead rein or a chain halter, many also use a delta. In this case, you can choose a chain delta or a leather delta. A delta helps to keep the bit still in the horse's mouth and distribute pressure.
The bridle is used to guide and communicate with the horse while providing an aesthetically pleasing frame for the horse's face. A beautifully designed show bridle can help to increase the horse's charisma and elegance at the show.
What does a show bridle consist of?
A show bridle consists of several different parts - neckpiece, headband, noseband and bit. It is important that the bridle fits the horse's head and face properly to ensure both comfort and control of the horse. There is a wide range of models to choose from, from the traditional hunter model with smooth leather details to beautiful embroidered details.
In addition to the design, it is also important to choose a high-quality show bridle. The bridle should be made of strong and durable materials
